Teddy was in the boys' dormitory thinking of how he should tell Victoire about his new self when the door opened. He looked up and saw James. "Hullo," he said.

"What's up?" James asked, plopping on Teddy's bed.

"I'm having a crisis," Teddy explained dramatically.

James rolled his eyes. "What now?"

"I don't know how to tell VIctoire about me," he explained.

"Oh, I don' think you should," James said. "At least not right now. Wait until you understand it better."

"But what if I change in front of her and then she freaks out because of what I am?" Teddy asked frantically.

"But you won't. You can control it that much."

"Then I should tell her about it, just in case," Teddy said.

"No!" James nearly yelled. "Don't tell her yet. She's already really worried about you because all you do is mope around when you're not snogging her. Don't make her worry even more, Ted."

"I don't worry her. Nor do I mope," Teddy said, defending himself.

"Yes, you do. So don't make her feel worse. Just... leave it be and then maybe -- just maybe -- you'll be able to tell her by Christmas."

"Why not by Halloween?" Teddy asked, trying to figure out James' logic.

"Because I highly doubt you or she will be ready by then," James explained.

"And what do you mean by that?" Teddy asked angrily.
